An Arduous Job and Our First Visitor

It was time to clean our water tanks.  A dock would be the best place to perform such a task. So, we reserved dock space for 2 nights in Red Hook, on the east side of St. Thomas. Tim did a fantastic job backing into the tight slip! We cleaned the tanks, ate out several times, and went to watch the Superbowl with new friends. It was a nice time, despite the hard work. Then, back to Brewer's Bay to get ready to pick up our first visitor.

Liz arrived from California a few days later. We picked her up from the airport by dinghy. That was a first! She had to jump right into her beach clothes when she arrived so she could access the dinghy from the beach. We did some snorkeling that day and prepared for our crossing to Puerto Rico.

I have been trying to buy a sewing machine since we left Grenada. I had borrowed one there but could not find one to buy. They are few and far between. A store in Martinique had several, but not a heavy duty-machine, as I wanted.  Again, I borrowed a machine, from Eva, and completed several projects. My own would have to wait.

Hard to see. Lots of Turtles in Brewer's Bay
